Submission terms

Your experience

Submit ratings and statements based on your own experience. Be truthful, distinguish opinion from factual claims, and do not invent events or submit another person’s experience as your own. Written details are helpful but optional; ratings-only reviews are welcome.

Permission to publish

You retain ownership of your submission. By submitting, you grant PriestCheck a nonexclusive permission to store, reproduce, and display it for the directory, moderation, and review service. Approved reviews may be public. Approved replies include the respondent’s name and response.

Content standards

Do not submit threats, harassment, knowingly false allegations, impersonation, private contact information, or identifying details about private third parties. Do not offer or accept payment to manipulate ratings. Responses must address the review and come from the priest or an authorized representative.

Moderation

Submissions are reviewed before publication and may be declined or removed under the guidelines. Publication is not a finding that an allegation is true. Ratings and concern labels reflect reviewers’ reports. Moderation records retain original submissions and decisions.

Corrections and responses

Request a correction or removal with the profile link and information supporting your request. Clergy and authorized representatives may submit a response under the right-of-reply process. You may request reconsideration through the correction form.
